Ingredients

tomatoes
300g (1.5 medium)
apples
300g (1 medium)
onions
150g (half of one large)
sugar
300g
white wine vinegar
250ml (rice vinegar is fine too)
grated ginger
1 tsp
mustard powder
1 tsp
paprika
0.5 tsp
salt
0.5 tsp

Preparation

Core and dice the apples with the skin still on.
Remove the outer layer of the onion and dice.
Dice with the skin still on.

Method

Red Tomato Chutney

Add the apple and half the vinegar to a saucepan and simmer until soft.

Add the onion, tomato and other ingredients except for the sugar and simmer on a low heat for 30 minutes.

Add the sugar and mix. Simmer on a low heat for 20 to 30 minutes.

When cooked leave to rest for one night.
